The Faith Formation team has been busy planning many opportunities for learning and fellowship in our community! In between regular meetings for planning, the committee has supported continued adult Bible studies on ZOOM, a retreat for the men of the church, college care boxes for our college students, and a gift card fundraiser for church camp next summer.
Pastor Rick Power, who worked closely with Ryan Urabe to plan a retreat for the men of the church reflects: “On October 17, twenty-three men of CCH came together for a day of fellowship, learning and food. The theme of the day was ‘Strengthening Connections,’ which we did through round-table conversations, two delicious meals prepared and served by our Michelin Star kitchen crew, and a ‘Hot Ones Challenge ‘ to see who could handle the spiciest wings. Our guest speaker was Chu Shin, Executive Coach from Behavioral Essentials. He walked us through the results of our individual BE surveys. Ryan Urabe led us in a devotional exercise. We left feeling more connected to each other, to God, and to our church.”
You’ll see Faith Formation leaders hard at work teaching our children, facilitating a gift card fundraiser to benefit church camp in 2027, and coordinating gift boxes to encourage our college students.
