Faith In Politics: Difficult Conversations on the Rise of Christian Nationalism
Thursday, October 29 | CCH Sanctuary Doors at 5:30 p.m. Program 6:00–7:30 p.m.
Join us for an evening of discussion and conversation co-sponsored by The Interfaith Alliance Hawaiʻi, Faith in Action, the ACLU of Hawaiʻi, and Mindful Hawaiʻi. Our own Pastor Rick Power will open the evening with framing remarks on what Christian nationalism is and how it shows up nationally, then journalist Morgan Pōmaikaʻi Lee will moderate a conversation among local religious leaders representing a full range of perspectives. Mark your calendars now for an important opportunity to listen to varied perspectives, ask questions, and wrestle together with how our faith intersects with political life today. All are welcome. Bentos will be provided.

Tuesdays, October 20–November 24, 2026 from 7:00-8:15 PM
From Antioch to Ephesus “The Gospel, the Spirit, and the Rise of the Early Church.”
The Book of Acts tells the story of a Church learning to follow the risen Christ beyond familiar boundaries. From Antioch, the gospel moves outward into the wider Mediterranean world as the Holy Spirit calls, sends, and sustains a community being reshaped by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Following Acts 11–14 and 19–20, this six-session course explores the journeys of Paul, and the formation of a missionary Church. This course provides the foundation for a 14 day pilgrimage to Turkey in October 2027. Register here.
